Sunday School 2026: A New Year of Learning and Growing in God's Word

2 min read

We are thankful to God as we begin another exciting year of Sunday School! This new season provides a wonderful opportunity for our children and young people to deepen their understanding of the Scriptures, strengthen their faith, and build lasting friendships within the ecclesia.

We are pleased to announce that the Sunday School workbooks and coloring materials are now being distributed and are on their way to their respective ecclesias. These resources have been carefully prepared to support the lessons and help students engage with God's Word in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

In addition, PowerPoint presentations for each lesson are currently being developed and finalized. These teaching materials will be sent to the ecclesias and published on our website as they become available. Our aim is to provide teachers with helpful resources that will enhance learning and encourage active participation during class.

What Should Teachers Prepare?

Sunday School teachers play an important role in helping students learn and appreciate God's message. As we begin the new year, we encourage teachers to:

  • Pray for wisdom and guidance in teaching.

  • Review each lesson in advance.

  • Familiarize themselves with the workbook activities and discussion points.

  • Download and prepare the PowerPoint slides once available.

  • Create a welcoming and encouraging classroom environment.

  • Encourage participation, questions, and thoughtful discussion.

  • Serve as a positive example of Christian character and faith.

Remember that teaching is more than presenting information—it is helping young hearts grow closer to God.

What Should Parents Prepare?

Parents are the first teachers of their children and play a vital role in supporting Sunday School learning. We encourage parents to:

  • Ensure their children attend Sunday School regularly.

  • Bring the workbook and necessary materials each week.

  • Review lessons together at home.

  • Encourage completion of workbook activities and coloring exercises.

  • Discuss Bible lessons and memory verses throughout the week.

  • Pray with and for their children as they learn God's Word.

  • Support and encourage a positive attitude toward Bible learning.

When parents and teachers work together, children receive consistent encouragement to develop strong biblical foundations.

Looking Forward to a Blessed Year

We are excited to see what God will accomplish through our Sunday School program this year. May our classes be filled with joyful learning, meaningful discussions, and a growing love for the Scriptures.

Let us all work together—teachers, parents, and students—as we seek to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).

We pray for a blessed and fruitful Sunday School year for every ecclesia and every family involved. God willing, may this be a year of spiritual growth, learning, and service.
